A decorating dilemma…
So the Apothic is growing and we need more space. We are expanding our offices and the time has come to pick furniture. Im great with other people, but the minute it’s my own project I freeze. So dear blog friends, I need your help. The area in question is our conference room. We are installing the Mercer table from William Sonoma Home (Well, actually two of them, with a giant piece of custom glass to form a HUGE table. (with the growing staff it always helps to have more space, plus it will double as a project station…..

Above we will hang this brilliant Chandelier from our friends at Empiric Studio.

Now the hard part. Im torn. I want fun chairs, but nothing TOO comfortable as everyone needs to keep working and I believe too comfortable of a chair leads to dissertations on the previous nights episode of The Bachelor or extended Facebook sessions (i kid, i kid-sort of) The two end chairs, mine and the employee of the month (kidding, again) will be scaled down wingchairs in Charcoal Felt with Silver nailheads similar to this:
but for everyone else I am torn between this cute number from Crate and Barrel spotted via Christian @maison21
or this, with some custom cushions in saddle leather
Thoughts??? Leave em in comments please.

Our fair ladies!
So the spring shows are just around the corner and I can’t wait any longer to show off some new Royal Apothic additions. I gave a sneak peek at the bottle a few weeks ago, but we just finished the final photo shoot and I am SO excited. Here are the official images of the new Eau De Parfumes! After so many requests about wearing Interior Perfume, I went into the lab and blended up versions of our signature scents specifically formulated for the body. With a concentration level of 18-20%, the fragrance lasts a long time! Coming soon to a Royal Apothic stockist near you!

Haunting
The Young Victoria was AMAZING! If you can, run and see it. From the sets to the costume, the story to the soundtrack, all of it was great. However, what really got me was the trailer before the picture started. The Lovely Bones is a new movie coming from director Peter Jackson and based on an amazing book by Alice Sebold. Now I normally tune out during the trailers but the music for this one pulled me in!
Amazing right. Well I came home and after an hour surfing the web I tracked down the song. Most people are looking for the ethereal music that plays when the character gets to heaven but I wanted the strings! Either way here is both:

I try to post things that inspire me on this blog and the Audiomachine song truly did. Although I promised not to work yesterday, after hearing the track on loop, I couldn’t resist and was ready to blend. We just wrapped up Christmas for this year, but next year’s deadline are fast approaching and the Royal Apothic Holiday 2010 Collection must be finished soon. The song triggered an idea that I had been playing around with for a while, so after the movie, into the lab I went and finished a new fragrance for next year. If you are a fan of Edwardian Fireplace, just wait til get a whiff of this!

Snow day!
Well, not really seeing how it is in the 60’s in LA, but we are taking one anyway. Lots has been done at the Apothic over the last week and we are almost ready for the round of upcoming shows and launches. Dying to see The Young Victoria so the whole team is playing hookie today and heading to a movie. Couldn’t leave without wishing everyone a very happy and safe New Year tonight. May twenty ten be filled with lots of love, fun and fabulous scent!!
