another unveiling…..

So Royal Apothic officially launches in just one week and I can’t believe all that is happening. I will be traveling the country for the next couple of weeks appearing at events where I get to meet all of our amazing retailers. It’s a really exciting time but there is still alot to pull together. One thing I can check off my list is the official display. They arrived and the first one was installed today in our LA showroom. I am truly blown away by how it came out and still find it amazing that I can think of something, a simple idea, share it with craftsmen and voila, it appears. I’ve never gotten over the excitement of seeing something you dreamed up appear and it never gets less thrilling! In my mind, I wanted the display to be classic English with an edge and so I designed a unit that is lit by library sconces with roomy shelves. Here are some horrible pictures I snapped with my blackberry. We are still waiting on the smaller tester units I showed in earlier posts so please “mind the gap.” I’ll take some real pics next week at our Los Angeles meet and greet event.

A bright idea

I’ve been looking for a new chandelier for my dining room for 6 months now. Crusing the net tonight, I came across this amazing option from Pottery Barn of all places. I have obviously been spending too much time in the design center and missing some of the great new things available at much better prices. The one thing I am not crazy about is the bulbous light bulbs so I think I would replace them with these.
